Distortion + Saturation

Distortion and saturation are effects that make sounds rougher, warmer, or more aggressive. By limiting the amplitude, the shape of the signal is altered, adding edges. The result is additional harmonics and a distorted tone. From tube amplifiers in rock music to tape saturation in vintage recorders and modern digital algorithms. Today, they’re everywhere - ranging from subtle warmth to brutal overdrive, perfect for adding character and punch!
