Complete Systems

Complete systems contradict today's modular concept, but they precisely reflect the beginnings of the first modular synthesizers, which were developed as a curated selection of functions. For beginners looking for a classic monosynth with an open signal path for experimentation, such systems are ideal. 5U modular systems resemble the large synthesizers of the 60s and 70s like Moog, are 5U in size, and use 6.35mm jacks. Eurorack, a newer standard developed around 1995 by Doepfer, features smaller modules and cables but offers a much greater variety. For educational purposes and initial steps into the modular world, they are a good solution for beginners. What’s to stop you from expanding such a system later on?
