Voucher Terms and Conditions

(Applies to all vouchers / gift cards sold via SchneidersLaden)

§ 1 Scope

These Voucher Terms and Conditions govern the issuance, redemption, and use of vouchers purchased through SchneidersLaden.de (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider"). They apply in addition to the Provider’s General Terms and Conditions.

§ 2 Types of Vouchers

Multi-purpose vouchers:

Vouchers redeemable for all products/services of the Provider, where the applicable VAT rate is not yet determined at the time of sale. VAT is only calculated upon redemption, based on the VAT rate of the purchased goods.

§ 3 Validity

Validity period:

• Paid vouchers are valid for at least 3 years from the date of issue (Section 195 of the German Civil Code, BGB).
• The date of issue is the date of the voucher purchase.
• Expiry: Vouchers lose their validity after the expiry of the period and can no longer be redeemed.
• Extension: An extension of the validity period is excluded unless legally required.

§ 4 Redemption

Redemption process:

• Vouchers can only be redeemed during the checkout process of the Provider by entering the voucher code.
• The code must be entered completely and correctly.

Combinability:

• Vouchers of the same type can be combined unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Partial redemption & remaining balance:

• Vouchers can be redeemed in partial amounts.
• Any unused amount remains as a remaining balance and can be used for future purchases.
• The remaining balance is subject to the same validity period as the original voucher.

Cash redemption:

• Cash redemption of the voucher value or remaining balance is excluded. Vouchers can only be redeemed for goods or services provided by SchneidersLaden GmbH.

§ 5 Tax Treatment

Multi-purpose vouchers:
No VAT is charged at the time of voucher purchase (VAT becomes due only upon redemption).
Upon redemption, VAT is calculated according to the VAT rate of the purchased products (7% or 19%).

§ 6 Transferability and Use

Transferability:

• Vouchers are freely transferable unless otherwise specified.
• The Provider is not liable for the correctness of the transfer to third parties.

Usage restrictions:

• Vouchers are not transferable to other persons or shops. They are exclusively valid for SchneidersLaden GmbH and cannot be redeemed with third-party providers.

§ 7 Misuse and Blocking

Prohibited use: The Provider reserves the right to block or cancel vouchers if:

• The voucher code was generated or manipulated without authorisation.
• There is misuse (e.g., multiple redemptions, fraud).
• The voucher was not lawfully acquired.

Liability disclaimer:

• The Provider is not liable for any damages resulting from incorrect or fraudulent use of the voucher.

§ 8 Right of Return and Withdrawal

Right of return:

Vouchers are not subject to the right of withdrawal (Section 312g (2) No. 9 of the German Civil Code, BGB), as they are digital content available for immediate use after purchase.

Cancellation:

A refund of the voucher value is excluded unless the voucher has been withdrawn.

§ 9 Data Protection

Anonymised vouchers do not contain any personal data.

§ 10 Amendments to Terms

The Provider reserves the right to amend these Voucher Terms and Conditions with effect for the future.
Amendments will be published on the website. Existing vouchers retain their original validity.
