Product information "Ritual Electronics - Crime II"
Ritual Electronics Crime II is an expander for their Miasma distortion module. It expands Miasma with 6 different distortion timbres as well as an active lowpass and a resonant highpass filter.
The rotary switch can be used to select six diode combinations. From the factory, 5 diode and LED combinations can be selected, some symmetrical, some asymmetrical.
The sixth position features the same header as Miasma and can be user-equipped with diodes.
Each diode has a different voltage drop, which leads to different volume results that can be adjusted via the Miasma level trimmer. Compared to the predecessor, an active lowpass and a resonant highpass filter were added in addition to their own output. While the lowpass filter is best suited for taming high frequencies, the highpass filter can clean up bass rumble or be used for sound shaping.
By bypassing the various stages of the Miasma circuit (e.g. Blend), the result is a particularly "raw" and intense sound experience.
Crime is connected to Miasma with a supplied cable and replaces the diodes in Miasma's header. This way, Miasma does not have to be taken out of the case to add new types of distortion.
Important! Crime II cannot be operated without Miasma.
