Like most distortion modules or pedals today, the Morphor Distortion is loosely based on one of the classic distortion circuits that have stood the test of time - in this case it's the legendary MXR.
You can play with three parameters to shape the perfect sound. The first is the Gain knob, which is the most important setting on most distortion units. This parameter is also controllable by CV.
Below that is the three-way switch, which can be used to increase the amount of distortion - from subtle to aarrrgggh! Internally the clipping is done via LEDs, which can also be seen on the front of the module, so you can witness with your own eyes how the sound is distorted. To get some of the input signal back, you can crossfade from Wet to Dry with the corresponding control.
