Make Noise ReSynthesizer — The Art of Reconstruction.
There's something special happening when a manufacturer takes their time to carefully curate a system. The ReSynthesizer represents Make Noise's current philosophy in its purest form - a thoughtfully assembled collection of modules that complement each other in ways that might not be immediately obvious.
Born from experimentation at Superbooth '23, this system gradually evolved from a demo setup into something far more significant. The placement of each module tells a story - take the Morphagene sitting next to Spectraphon, a combination that opens up fascinating possibilities for sound manipulation.
The system spans Make Noise's journey from MATHS - where voltage manipulation becomes a boundless creative space after spending time with its slopes and curves - to the Spectraphon's ability to freeze time within individual frequency bands, pulling sounds apart and weaving them back together in startling new ways. Each module has been chosen to contribute to the system's primary focus: transforming existing sounds into entirely new sonic territories.
Two powerhouses form the system's heart: Spectraphon and Morphagene. While one dissects sounds into their spectral components, the other slices time into grains. Together, they create an instrument that excels at sound design and live performance alike. Supporting players like QPAS, Mimeophon, and the new DXG expand these possibilities further.
Control is distributed cleverly throughout the system. René handles sequencing duties while TEMPI keeps everything in sync. The Wogglebug adds controlled chaos, and the recently introduced PrssPnt brings your hands directly into the equation. All of this fits into a powerful 4-Zone CV Bus case that makes complex routing straightforward.
The ReSynthesizer isn't trying to be everything to everyone. Instead, it focuses on what Make Noise does best - creating instruments that inspire exploration and reward experimentation. It's a system that feels complete without being limiting.

MANUAL
Make Noise @ReSynthesizer
Already interested in electronics at the early age of 12, Tony Rolando learned everything about circuits and musical instrument design by himself. He worked for Moog Music for a while and some sabbatical years, he founded Make Noise in 2008 in Asheville, North Carolina. By now, his reinterpretation of the Serge DUSG, Maths, is probably the most ubiquitous module in the eurorack universe ever. Make Noise continues to surprise with new and inspiring modules, including collaborations with Tom Erbe of Soundhack.
