ADDAC120BS Strings Basic System — Essential Components for Building an ADDAC120 Four Strings Instrument
The ADDAC120BS provides the essentials for building your own instrument from ADDAC's Four Strings Series. It combines the Headstock & Bridge assembly with a humbucker pickup and a Rotary Exciter, giving you the basic components to turn physical vibrating strings into a modular sound source.
You can tune and play the four strings by hand, capture their sound through the humbucker, or use the Rotary Exciter to set them vibrating through a rotating magnetic field. The pickup includes Tone, Volume and gain controls, while the exciter's motor speed can be controlled manually or by CV. Unlike the other complete configurations, this package doesn't include a frame, making it suitable for integration into an appropriately sized Eurorack case or custom-built instrument.
Features:
- Basic three-component system for the ADDAC120 Four Strings Series
- ADDAC120 Headstock & Bridge, including string set and mechanical accessories
- ADDAC121 Humbucker with integrated preamplifier
- ADDAC126 Rotary Exciter with CV-controlled motor speed
- Four-string configuration with user-selectable tuning
- Frame and power supply not included
- Suitable for integration into a custom build
About the ADDAC 120-Series
The 120-Series brings real vibrating strings into Eurorack, crossing the worlds of modular synthesis and electro-acoustic instruments. Its four strings form a customizable instrument somewhere between a lap steel guitar, a zither and an automated string machine. The headstock and bridge form the foundation, while additional modules capture the sound, mechanically pluck or mute the strings, excite them magnetically, add frets or even turn the strings into a physical audio resonator. Combined with Eurorack sequencing, CV and effects, you can build anything from a manually played instrument to a fully automated string setup.
