ADDAC120HS Strings Humbucker System — Complete Four-String Instrument with Motorized Playing
The ADDAC120HS is a complete four-string instrument built around ADDAC's dedicated powered Strings Frame. It uses a humbucker pickup to capture the combined sound of all four strings, providing a familiar guitar-style signal at modular level, ready to be processed by the rest of your rack.
The more unusual side comes from its playing mechanisms. Four servo-driven plectrums let you trigger the individual strings, while the Strings Mute provides controlled damping. A Rotary Exciter adds electromagnetic string excitation, allowing the strings to vibrate without being plucked. You can play the instrument manually, automate it from your patch or combine both approaches. A compact, well-equipped way to explore the Four Strings concept without building a system from scratch.

About the ADDAC 120-Series
The 120-Series brings real vibrating strings into Eurorack, crossing the worlds of modular synthesis and electro-acoustic instruments. Its four strings form a customizable instrument somewhere between a lap steel guitar, a zither and an automated string machine. The headstock and bridge form the foundation, while additional modules capture the sound, mechanically pluck or mute the strings, excite them magnetically, add frets or even turn the strings into a physical audio resonator. Combined with Eurorack sequencing, CV and effects, you can build anything from a manually played instrument to a fully automated string setup.
