Olivia Artz Modular - VCA Expander for Time Machine

This VCA Expander gives Time Machine what many people asked for: voltage control over the level of its dry stereo input and each of the eight stereo delay taps. In total you get nine linear VCAs, one per slider, all normalled into the Time Machine’s internal routing. Send CV to these inputs and you can animate the contribution of each tap over time instead of setting them once and leaving them static.

Each VCA reaches unity gain at +5V, with voltages clamped between 0 and +5V. This works hand in hand with Time Machine’s own level normalization, so even fairly wild modulation tends to land in usable territory. Once you patch into a VCA, its corresponding slider becomes an attenuator, setting both the base level and the modulation depth. Because audible taps also feed back into the delay line, changing their levels is effectively reshaping the whole granular engine, not just the output mix. Note: This expander works with the OAM Time Machine (DIY and assembled), Tiny Time Machine, and other versions that use the default firmware and have the expander header populated. It can’t be used at the same time as Timo Rozendal’s expander, so you’ll want to pick one approach and lean into it.
