Befaco - Burst
- Order number: 180222
- Depth: 30
Once triggered, the Burst module generates a flood of impulse signals. Quantity, distribution, timing and probability can not only be edited manually, but influenced via control voltages as well. Burst is ideal for creating dynamic drum effects like rolls or ratcheting and slowly swelling or decaying special effect clouds. Of course, you can also generate triplets, septuplets and the like.
If Burst detects a signal at its Trigg input, the module emits up to 64 new impulses. The way these triggers are distributed can be adjusted via a potentiometer. In detail, it is possible to fade from slowly swelling to even and sluggishly decaying behavior. If desired, you can synchronize Burst to an external clock signal. A division / multiplication circuit is built-in. On top of that, there is an editable probability function as well as one-shot and cycle modes. Of course, Burst can also be triggered directly at the front panel. CV inputs for the parameters quantity, distribution, (clock) division / multiplication and probability allow you to create dynamic results. Besides the main trigger output, there are connectors emitting EOC (end of cycle) and clock signals. Thus, Burst can also serve as a clock generator.
