Burst + Ratcheting Generators

A burst is best described as a one-shot sequence of gates. Typically, a burst is a fixed sequence of pulses with a constant frequency. However, in music, there are also burst generators with variable frequencies. Ratcheting, well known through Tangerine Dream, refers to the rapid repetition of pulses within a sequence. Multiple pulses are fired during a single gate length, creating a trilling effect.
