Xaoc Devices Kamieniec II — Analog Resonant Phase Rotator with '70s DNA. Now with CV control over Resonance, a Third Feedback Mode, and Expandable to 22 Stages!
Kamieniec II is Xaoc Devices' updated take on their analog phase shifter — an OTA-based design inspired by the classic phaser pedals of the 1970s, reworked for synthesizers and the modular environment. Like its predecessor from 2016, it runs four tunable allpass stages plus two fixed ones, with simultaneous outputs for both the 4-stage and 6-stage signal. Use them independently or as a faux stereo pair — each has its own character and frequency response.
The big additions this time around are voltage control over resonance, a third feedback mode, and an LFO reset input. The three-way switch — labeled Wasted, K-Holed, and Stoned — selects how many stages are included in the feedback path, each producing a distinctly different resonant character. Crank the resonance and the module will self-oscillate. The built-in triangle LFO covers a fairly wide range (slow sweeps through low audio rate), is voltage-controllable and syncable, and has its own output for patching elsewhere in your system. An external modulation input lets you layer additional CV on top of the LFO for more complex movement.
One of Kamieniec's more unusual traits carries over: multiple units can be chained together via rear headers, creating longer allpass networks with denser, more uniform notch patterns — fundamentally different from simply cascading phasers in series. Both generations are compatible, so you can mix and match. There's also an optional Allpass Expansion board that mounts on the back, adding up to 16 sweepable stages for a total of 22 — turning Kamieniec II into one of the most extreme analog phasers in Eurorack. If phasers are your thing, this one is worth a serious look!
