Meta looks like an elegant solution to an age old problem with hardware jams, the sometimes difficult task of creating interesting musical transitions. This is the tool that helps you bridge the gap from one idea and string it on to the next, a weaver of musical consistency. Or put differently, this is a multi-fx module, and multi in terms of not an overwhelming amount of options but a few carefully selected effects that are fun to use and just sound good. Definitely a case of quality over quantity and a “do more with less” attitude.

It includes six main effects: SPACE, RISER, FILTER, LOOP, DELAY, and GATER, each offering two unique variations. The main operation comes down to the central knob that lets you adjust the two effect variations in either direction from the 12 o'clock position, providing an easy access to a whole range of sounds. Essentially a magic dial that you can operate with one hand leaving the other free to patch or tweak another part of your patch in the heat of an ongoing performance.

Meta also supports synchronization through its clock input and comes with a bunch of useful CV inputs to control the effects with external modulation. Another handy feature is its internal memory that allows you to store gain inputs and customizable scene settings, i.e., a sort of preset recall.

Despite being a multi-effect unit, Meta focuses on quality over quantity, offering a select few effects that are great for live use. This module is designed - among other things - to solve the common issue of weak transitions in live modular jams.
