The MercuryX is loaded with features: 8 reverb algorithms, a ton of parameters and effects, 99 preset slots, a sleek screen, MIDI, and so much more to make all your reverb dreams come true. The algorithms range from spring and basement rooms to cathedrals and outer space. With 2.54 seconds of pre-delay available, it can even be abused as a delay, and additional sound processors allow you to layer a chorus, vowel, or even a lo-fi effect over everything. The possibilities are practically endless and are expanded even further by the 6 modifiers. These modifiers can take the form of LFOs, sequencers, envelopes, or sample & hold shapes, bringing the spaces to life.
The individual processors can be flexibly placed within the signal path, making the MercuryX almost like a small modular system. Thanks to the switchable input levels, the pedal feels just as at home in front of an amp as it does on a studio desk next to powerful synthesizers. The package is rounded off by the classic Meris swell function for atmospheric fade-ins and a USB-C port for straightforward updates.
