Ring Modulators
Ring modulators multiply two signals, producing the sum and difference of their frequencies. When both signals are in the audio range, the result is often dissonant, metallic, or bell-like sounds. If one frequency is below 20 Hz, in the subsonic range, it creates a tremolo effect, reminiscent of the iconic sci-fi sounds of the 70s. Perfect for experimental soundscapes and futuristic effects!
