Wow! Eurorack version of Jürgen Haible's legendary interpretation of the ultra rare Tau "The Pipe" Flanger from the 70s.
The Tau Phaser is an 18-pole phaser. Haible's circuit has been modified by Random*Source for Eurorack voltage and provided with a few useful modifications, like an attenuator for CV and an additional (inverted) -1V/Oct input.
The Tau Phaser produces a powerful and unique phaser sound. It likes complex signals, like pads or FM sounds, but can also be pinged very well or fed with noise(bursts). The latter leads to the characteristic "pipe" sounds, which gave the original Tau its nickname.
Jürgen Haible was a real creative who came up with many great designs. After his death, Random*Source made it their mission to breathe new life into these almost forgotten devices.
