Collision Devices — Crushturnal: Digital Delay / Reverb / Sample Reducer with Clock Sequencer
Crushturnal is a digital delay, sample rate reducer, and reverb pedal with an onboard clock sequencer. It has three color-coded sections — Ambience, Digital Repeater, and Sequencer — each independently bypassable.
The reverb draws from the shimmer circuit of Collision Devices' Nocturnal pedal, cascading pitch-shifted reflections into wide cathedral ambiences. The delay side can progressively reduce the sample rate with each repeat. Both respond to a shared master clock as well as its sequencer, which allows you to step through clock rate changes to introduce rhythmic pitch shifts, glitchy modulation, or timbral movement. If you want to lock it all down, there's external sync as well as tap tempo.
It has CV/expression in for clock control and CV out for other gear. The dry path is completely analog, while the wet signal is digital. Crushturnal is great for textural work, stuttered delays, controlled signal destruction, and other forms of destructive mayhem.
