The Variable Slope Filter is a classic that can sound from subtle to rich and distinct.
With the VCFS it is possible to change the slope of the filter continuously manually or via control voltage. With constant cutoff and resonance settings, the modulation of the filter slope causes a variably sharp cutoff response. Two inputs and a crossfader allow mixing and crossfading between two sources. Lowpass, bandpass and highpass are available as taps. Due to the use of THAT2180 VCA chips, the filter is very low-noise and can therefore also be used for quieter or more subtle signals.
