Serge Modular - GTS Slope Generator III

The sports car among function generators. The Serge GTS Slope Generator is also designed by Serge Tcherepnin and is as fast as lightning.

The GTS is an evolution of the ground breaking Dual Universal Slope Generator (DUSG). It served as the blueprint for the function generator as we know and love it today, especially intended for modulations.
The GTS can still wonderfully act as a modulation wizard in your system but can now also shine as an oscillator due to its enormous range. It tracks up to 6 octaves and has rise and fall times with a speed of up to 12 μs. These are cycle speeds of up to 27 kHz, i.e. far beyond the audible range and much faster than the other famous functiongenerator.

But of course, those weren't all the innovations, and so GTS is now also equipped with a CV processor, mixer, and the Serge Peak & Though. The former can wonderfully process the signals generated in the GTS or act independently. The outputs of the two function generators are normalized to the mixer, and additionally, you can integrate two arbitrary signals into the AUX inputs. Here, you can naturally use both audio and CV signals.
Peak & Through is simple, versatile, and has long been found in Serge synthesizers. Essentially, it's a maximum and minimum logic fed by two signals. Max then always outputs the highest value of both signals, and Min outputs the lowest. This allows you to quickly transform the two signals of the function generators or give other signals from your system a new twist.

GTS is a beast and can take on many forms. A voltage-controlled modulation source for LFOs, envelopes, and everything in between. A flexible complex oscillator for rich FM sounds. A mixer for up to four signals, a filter, sub-harmonic generator, pulse delay, and much more. A fantastic module that encourages you to think anew and is also an educational Swiss army knife for beginners.
