Patching Panda Rewire — Performative 4×4 Signal Router
Rewire is a 4×4 signal router that lets you reshuffle your patch on the fly instead of manually repatching cables. Four inputs feed four independently controlled outputs, each with its own level fader, polarity switch, and CV-controllable attenuverter. Clock, Reset, Shift, and Div inputs turn it into a proper sequential switch: you can step, rotate, divide, and offset the routing so signals wander through different destinations over time. Audio, CV, or triggers all work.
In practice, this means you can rotate a bank of LFOs across four modulation targets, move a melody between voices, or send one audio source through four effect chains in rhythm with your master clock. Use clock divisions and the shift modes (forward, pendulum, or random) to build evolving generative patterns, or ignore the clock entirely and treat the faders as a hands-on preset panel for performances. Rewire has a small footprint but offers so much in ways of how you re-route your signals, be it to create a generative chaos machine or a manual preset bank. This module transforms a static system into a living, shifting network and turns signal routing into something more playable and performative.
Features:
- 4 inputs to 4 independently controlled outputs
- Works with audio, CV, and trigger signals
- Per-output level faders for quick balancing and performance moves
- Per-output polarity switch (uni/bipolar) plus CV attenuverter input
- Clock, Reset, Shift, and Div inputs for sequenced routing control
- Clock division knob with CV control for slower or faster stepping
- Shift knob with forward, pendulum, and random modes for evolving patterns
- LED indication of routing step and signal polarity per channel
