Patching Panda - Punch MG (Black)

Simple, yet highly versatile, the Punch_MG by Patching Panda is a VCA with decay envelopes and mute groups.

The Punch_MG is the successor to Punch, a Eurorack module designed for shaping percussive sounds. It features 4 channels, each with a trigger input and a decay envelope. The decay times are voltage-controllable, and the envelopes can be routed both positively and negatively to the internal VCAs. However, the real fun comes from the mute groups, which can be switched on and off. When activated, this circuit acts similar to a hihat choke in drum machines, allowing the percussion sounds to cut each other off. Long decay times are drastically shortened, and when two sounds are triggered simultaneously, they influence each other, enabling you to quickly create highly interesting and dynamic rhythms. Additionally, there are trigger buttons and outputs for the generated envelopes. Want more? Simply link two Punch_MG modules together for even more zaps and beeps.
