Mnemonic Devices - Gin (Juniper Expander)

The already very powerful Juniper from Mnemonic Devices gets a great extension with MD-002 Gin: eight freely routable CV inputs and knob recording!

With this Juniper will probably become the modulation center in your system. The professional and precise multiple modulation source from Mnemonic Devices has only three CV and one clock input. Gin brings eight additional and freely routable CV inputs into play.

But not only that: The central element is a high-quality rotary potentiometer whose movements can also be recorded. The length of the recording is limited only by memory (=unreasonably long). In the lower part of Gin there are two knobs for REC and PLAY. With these you can start the knob-recordings, but also activate the recording functions of Juniper directly.

The inputs are 12bit accurate, meaning you get a resolution of around 2mV at +/-5V. This allows very fine-grained quantizations of recordings, e.g. of microtonal sequences.
