Ottobit Jr. is the evolution of the 500-Series Ottobit, in pedal format. It features Sample Rate Reduction (SRR), bitcrushing, as well as a low-pass ladder filter, stutter and a sequencer! The sound can become incredibly noisy and scratchy, rounded off beautifully with the filter, while the stutter and sequencer surprise with ever-new ideas.
Using the Sample Rate and Bits controls, the signal can be intentionally degraded. The ladder filter helps to tame the digital artifacts and give the sound a pleasant shape. It gets really exciting with the 6-step sequencer, which rhythmically controls pitch, filter or bit depth. The stutter syncs to a given tempo and offers a variety of different repeat effects. The sequencer and stutter act almost like another person in the studio, constantly throwing new and constructive ideas into the room.
A very creative tool that goes far beyond a normal bitcrusher and gives every sound its own unique digital character.
