Lorre Mill - Float Glass
- Order number: 240352
Float Glass from Lorre Mill is a patchable phaser device on steroids!
Time to set sail and float out on some really phasey journeys. Float Glass is an effect unit designed to create wildly moving phaser effects and generative noise. It combines an 8-stage voltage-controlled phaser with a 16-step shift register modulation system.
This complex modulation source produces a stepped "sine" wave capable of creating pretty wild and rhythmic phaser effects. If you’re after more classic phaser sounds there’s a slew control that you can use to smooth its output.
In addition to the sine wave modulation, Float Glass includes a clipped noise source labeled as "sand" as well as pink noise. This serves as a great way to add texture and complexity to your sounds. However, to use this noise source you'll need banana patch cables to connect it as it’s not hard-wired into the system. The ability to freely patch this unit also allows for creative experimentation with feedback loops. Just watch your volume while doing that because the feedback can get loud fast!
Float Glass has more uses than first meets the eye and due to its modular nature it offers something you normally don’t find in traditional phasers. It’s a little box of surprises that just might float your boat.

Will Schorre from Baltimore, Maryland defines Lorre-Mill as "a personal metaphysical machine which I use to crank on ideas and produce produce". His unlabelled banana-patchable devices are an open canvas for the exploration of sound.
