Erica Synths - Black Stereo Delay2

- Depth: 35
A straightforward design with a versatile sound and presets offers the Black Stereo Delay 2 from Erica Synths and 112dB.
The Black Stereo Delay 2 is a solid and versatile delay module for Eurorack systems. Based on the in-house DSP platform, three delay types are offered: Tape Delay, Bucket Brigade Delay and Digital Delay. The different delays have been developed in cooperation with the manufacturer 112dB. Tape-Delay emulates the warm sound of tape and causes a change in the pitch of the delays when the delay time is changed, just like the BBD. The BBD has lovely artifacts in its sound as known from real BBDs. The Digital Delay sounds rather neutral and its pitch isn’t affected by the time parameter. Additionally, there are three different behaviors for the delay feedback: stereo, cross feedback, or ping-pong.
A very interesting feature of the Black Stereo Delay 2 is the possibility to store up to 10 presets amongst which you can quickly switch with a key combination, or control voltages. That offers unique possibilities and great fun!
The module can of course be synchronized to an external clock and then has the possibility to run the delays at a rate dependent on the clock. The stereo width is adjustable and a high/low pass filter combination allows fine tuning.
As always with Erica Synths, the modules are designed for playability and (thanks to the clever design) invite to play without having to think, which is especially helpful in live situations.
