Expert Sleepers - Otterley
- Order number: 240073
- Depth: 42
A simple concept, yet one that effectively shakes up your Eurorack system! Expert Sleepers Otterley delivers four correlated, voltage-controlled LFOs + one extra-LFO..
The lineup of analog synthesizer modules from Expert Sleepers receives a welcome addition with Otterley, a modulation source designed for simplicity and directness.
Otterley is an LFO module that provides a total of five modulation outputs. The first four LFOs are interdependent and share the parameters Speed and Spread. This means you can set a base speed and then use the Spread parameter to separate the frequencies of the four LFOs from each other. The speed and spread can also be voltage-controlled, which, combined with the fifth LFO, can yield very interesting results.
LFO Number 5, however, operates independently. It has its own frequency control potentiometer and can, for example, be used to modulate the other four LFOs.
LFOs 1-4 have a reset input, can output either sine or pulse waves, and can be switched between bipolar (+/-5V) or unipolar (0-10V) via a switch. The fifth LFO is always a sine wave.
The Reset Input halts the LFOs. They will jump to a fixed value and won't move as long as the Gate is high. The Reset-behaviour of the Pulsewave can be set via a jumper on the back of the module.
A simple concept that nonetheless yields highly interesting results and big smiles.
