Eowave - Tempête Magnetique

Eowave's Tempête Magnétique is a highly complex module that includes four multimode filters with various routing options and some other additions.
The module is quite versatile, not only in its various configuration and application possibilities, but also when it comes to the sound itself. At normal input levels, it has a smooth, musical character. However, when the input level gets stronger, the Tempête Magnétique can add asymmetrical distortion and a good amount of roughness to the sound being processed.
The routing options of the four filters (A B C D) allow serial or parallel operation and filter slopes of up to -48 dB per octave. With the grouped filter sections (X, Y) and a centered cross-modulation of the filters (fader in the center) you get complex stereo filter effects.
If you set up a feedback path for one of the filters, you get self-oscillation that can be processed by the other side and the built-in envelope follower - this way you get a unique synthesizer voice.
A special task for filters is to use them as a pinged sound source. Not all filters can do this, and it takes some fine-tuning of the trigger or envelope you send to the filter input to ping it. However, the Tempête Magnétique has a dedicated ping input for easy pinging and reliable results.
- High-pass, band-pass and low-pass modes with a slope of -12 dB per octave
- Envelope follower can function as a velocity-sensitive decay envelope
- Cross-modulation engine that modulates both filter pairs
- Ping input
- Suitable for quadraphonic setups
