Collision Devices' Black Hole Symmetry is a three-in-one effects pedal combining a modulated delay, a pitch-shifted reverb and a destruction fuzz. Each section has its own footswitch, so you can run them individually or stack all three for increasingly unhinged results.
The three sections borrow their names from the anatomy of a black hole. The Ergosphere is a PT2399-based delay with two internal oscillators modulating the echo circuit — this gives the repeats a constantly drifting, warbling character that ranges from gentle chorused trails to seasick wobble. Five knobs plus an internal trimmer give you fine control over time, feedback, modulation depth and speed. The Event Horizon is an FV1-powered reverb with a built-in pitch shifter — the Pitch knob lets you harmonize the wet signal (up to a fifth), while the Radiancy control sets how much of that shifted signal bleeds into the reverb tail. Echo times stretch all the way to 15 seconds. Finally, there's the Singularity, which is controlled by a single knob at the center called Disintegrate that dials in a massive fuzz.
