Blood Cells Audio's Quadipus — Expandable Four-Output Distribution Utility for CV and Audio, with Attenuversion, Macro Control and Offset Generation
Quadipus is a distribution utility for CV and audio from Blood Cells Audio. One signal goes in, four come out — each with its own attenuverter for level and polarity, plus a blue master knob that acts as a global macro control and scales everything at once. A polarity switch flips the input before it's distributed, affecting all four outputs together.
A couple of details worth calling out. The attenuverters have an S-curve response, meaning the knob slows down around the center — subtle, but useful when you want to land cleanly on zero with bipolar CV. And when nothing is patched into the input, the jack is normalled to an internal voltage source, which effectively turns Quadipus into a four-output offset/voltage source — still with independent level and polarity per channel. The bi-color LEDs on the input and each output trace signal shape at CV rates and settle into a steady yellow once things cross into audio rate.
It scales easily as well. The rear 2-pin header accepts Limbs expanders, extending the same control structure to as many outputs as you need. Good for anyone who moves a lot of CV around, or who likes the idea of having one knob to reshape half a patch at once.
Features:
- Distribution utility for CV and audio
- Four outputs with independent attenuverter (level and polarity)
- Smooth S-curve response on attenuverters for precise zero crossing
- Blue master level knob — global macro control over all outputs
- Master polarity switch affecting all outputs
- Internal voltage source normalled to the input
- Bi-color (green/red) LEDs on input and outputs — signal shape at CV rates, steady yellow at audio rate
- Expandable via Limbs modules over rear 2-pin header
