Oscar Tria packs a stereo oscillator with morphing waveforms, through zero FM and hard sync, Supersaw mode and chord mode into 10HP.
The module combines three different oscillator models that complement each other very well in one compact, easy-to-play VCO. Designed for big, wide sounds in stereo, Oscar Tria covers such a complete sound palette that it can be recommended without reservation.
The green mode is a stereo adaptation of a classic analog oscillator. Here you have triangle, sawtooth and pulse wave (with PWM) and all forms in between. You can fade between the waveforms, allowing you to find many interesting sound characteristics. The whole thing is thickened up with up to two sub-octaves in the form of square wave oscillations. Don't forget, we're dealing with a stereo oscillator here! This means we can detune the two sides against each other to create a really big sound. Thru-zero FM and hard sync are also included. This makes Oscar Tria a very versatile VCO, but there are two more modes to come!
In yellow mode, Oscar Tria focuses on the attribute Super! Supersaw sounds with up to 24 oscillators, which can be split between the left and right channels, promise excellent rave sounds. In this mode you can also switch to square and triangle - i.e. super square and super triangle - which is super-interesting. If the sound is still not big enough for you, add the sub-oscillator. If that's not enough, we don't know what to do...
...or maybe we do. Then you're probably not looking for an even bigger sound, but certainly need a little more harmony. Then switch to orange mode. There are 20 different chords to find here. You can adjust the number of notes played with a spread of up to two octaves and the detune parameter for a wonderfully broad sound.
