ALM Busy Circuits Quaid Gigaslope — Megaslope's Big Sibling: Four Channels of Staged Slopes, Complex Envelopes, LFOs & Step Sequences. The Modulation Mothership Has Arrived!
The ALM Busy Circuits Quaid Gigaslope is a four-channel modulation source for Eurorack, and it's a big one — 52HP of hands-on, menu-free control. Each channel outputs a staged slope that can act as a complex envelope, a flexible LFO, or a step sequence. If you know ALM's earlier Megaslope, the Quaid Gigaslope is its full expansion: same core philosophy of immediate, performance-oriented modulation, now multiplied across four channels with thirteen stages shared or split between them.
Each stage gets its own dedicated Level, Time, and Curve controls, all accessible directly from the panel. Slopes can be triggered or set to run freely, and the output range is selectable between ±5V, 0–5V, and 0–2.5V. A built-in quantizer with nineteen scales means the slopes can double as pitched sequences when you need them to. Trigger outputs fire at the end of each stage or at the end of a full cycle, and four freely assignable CV inputs (expandable to eight via the AXON expander) let you voltage-control the parameters that matter in context.
Gigaslope also has some rather interesting cross-channel interaction. Stages can overlap between slopes, and channels can modulate each other, meaning it's a great little lab for modulation experiments and plenty of happy accidents — patch it methodically or just start turning knobs and see where it goes. All states are preserved across power cycles, so whatever you land on stays put. A beast of a module and a serious modulation centerpiece!
