Mesa is based on the proven Dattorro plate reverb algorithm, which is also used in Valley Audio’s Plateau (VCV Rack) and is very popular there. No matter how large or small you set the room that Mesa simulates, it always sounds interesting and full of character. The algorithm can be tuned in a variety of ways—from experimental, resonant tin cans to sizes that go beyond what’s physically possible—and it always sounds great. Long to infinite reverb tails, brought to life with the built-in LFOs and filters, sound particularly outstanding.
With a sampling rate of 96 kHz and 64-bit double-precision processing, the module offers outstanding sound quality. It’s suitable for both subtly enhancing dry signals and creating complex, atmospheric soundscapes. The four built-in modulation LFOs, the pre-delay buffer, and the dual filters enable precise sound design—from natural, spatial effects to experimental textures and unusual soundscapes.
