WMD Modbox MKII — Dual LFO Modulation Source with Three-Phase Oscillator, Skew LFO, Sample & Hold and Turing Machine
Modbox MKII is a dual-LFO modulation toolbox combining a three-output phase oscillator, a variable Skew LFO, digital sample & hold and analog white noise. The successor to the original WMD/SSF Modbox offers considerably more control over how modulation signals interact, with clock sync and reset to keep everything nicely in time.
The Three Phase LFO can shift the relationship between its three outputs using phase offset, phase modulation or frequency spreading, splendid stuff for interlocking rhythms and related movements across a patch. The second LFO morphs between saw, triangle and ramp shapes, with additional control over the curve. There's also a digital sample & hold with three modes, including a probabilistic Turing Machine that generates evolving sequences of up to 32 steps. Noise and a sampling clock are internally normalled, so you can get random stepped voltages without patching anything. Both LFOs also reach audio rates with V/Oct tracking, making Modbox MKII a super versatile source of both modulation and sound.
