CVilization is a 4x4 audio/CV processor/recorder/mutator

U-HE is probably known to most people for quite some time. The noble software synthesizer maker from Berlin has been thinking its brains out of the water over the last years and applied its concentrated knowledge and analytical skills to present its first Eurorack module. The result? An above-average, well thought-out, digital multifunctional tool with four main modes. Which are:
-Matrix Mixer (4x4)
-Sequential Switch (4x4)
-Quadruple CV recorder with mutation capability
-Quadrophonic panner
The first three modes have some utilities on board like S&H, Glide, Quantizer. This is just a short overview of what CVilization is all about. And we really only guessed the tip of the iceberg from a distance. If you approach the module with enough time and synaesthetic awareness, you will notice pretty soon that without at least a superficial reading of the manual, some features remain hidden for the time being. This results from the choice of the control elements whose color coding one should first internalize and the way for example the mutation functions in the CV recorder mode, which is actually an exciting innovation in Euroland and would like to be understood as a concept. In the end it is not too complicated and the training is not only possible for everyone but absolutely worthwhile. Because, with a well thought-out operation and a clever combination of simple (utility) functions, this module achieves an enormous range of functions. A very useful and great extension for every modular system.
