SoundForce - DCO (2021 Version)
- Order number: 210524
- Depth: 38
The SoundForce DCO is based on the oscillators of the Roland Juno 60/106 series - but with a significant improvement of the digital control of the analog oscillator core.
What is a DCO?
A DCO is a digitally controlled analog oscillator. Unlike "full" analog oscillators, a DCO uses a microcomputer to control the frequency and reset the phase of the oscillator core, thus gaining increased tuning stability.
The SoundForce DCO features controls for frequency, pulse width, and FM control in the lower half, and a mixer for creating a sum from the individual waveforms in the upper half. All generated waveforms and sub-oscillators can also be tapped individually and edited individually.
The MIDI input is very useful to play the module without further tuning via DAW, keyboard or sequencer. You can switch between MIDI+CV mode and pure MIDI mode on the back of the module. In MIDI+CV mode, the information from the MIDI input is combined with the voltages present at the 1V/Oct socket

DCO @SoundForce
Starting out with software-controllers, the SoundForce path led back to hardware. Since 2017 the Dutchmen are spot on when it comes to designing Eurorack modules that always show a strong passion for legendary synthesizer-designs.
