Shakmat Modular - Triple Steeple
- Order number: 220657
- Depth: 21
Shakmat's Triple Steeple is a triple envelope generator, with interesting parameters to control the envelope.
Triple Steeple is very flexible because the multiple assignments of the knobs and pots hide many functions that are not immediately visible at first glance. Triple Steeple is an AD envelope but does not give access to the AD parameters but to Time and Symmetry. Time controls the attack and decay time equally and Symmetry sets the ratio of the set time on attack and decay. If you move Symmetry all the way CCW (left), there is no attack time, and if you now turn Symmetry CW (right), the attack time is added and the decay time is reduced. This control is very interesting and invites rethinking. Furthermore, Triple Steeple can have either a linear or exponential curve and can react differently to triggers or gates. For example, it is possible to generate an ASR envelope, use gates as envelope on-off signals, or use an incoming clock in combination with the internal clock divider to generate rhythmic envelopes (it's worth taking a look at the manual).
This module also gives the possibility to use a freely assignable CV value, with integrated attenuator and offset, as well as CV control over Time, making nice changes to the modulations easily doable.
Shakmat have also created helpful normalizations, making cascading and summing easier.
Features:
- Triple envelope generator with dedicated control of time and symmetry
- Five modes: triggered, gated, looped, gated loop and clocked loop
- Linear or exponential response
- Settable envelopes level
- Timing from 2,5 ms to 15 sec. (minimum attack or decay time of 250 microseconds)
- VCA and accent modes thanks to the assignable CV input
- Input and output normalizations
- Current state storing
