Aeolus Seeds is a quadrophonic panning module which can also be used for vector summation.
Aeolus Seeds is based on four VCAs that are driven by four internal modulation sources to create spatial effects. The modulators have two parameters: Time, when the knob is in the middle position, the movement is virtually frozen. Turning the knob to the right increases the rotation/motion speed clockwise. Turning the knob to the left also increases the speed, but counterclockwise. Depth controls whether the outputs are driven at full volume, respectively how far the modulation modulates the signal in volume. The modulators can be used in six different modes. These range from classic swirls in quadrature mode to pointillistic bursts in granular mode. The modes can be controlled by CV which allows very lively movements. The configurations, i.e. the trajectories, can also be operated in six modes and controlled by CV. Another clever feature is the freely assignable CV output, which can be used to control filters and oscillators, for example to lower the cutoff of a filter when the current position is further away from the center or to use the modulations of the X- or Y-axis to control other modules. With the sum output it is possible to use the module as a four to one vector mixer. Great for example to mix four waveforms of the same oscillator continuously (morphing) or to crossfade four completely independent signals.
