The Serge 2+2 Mixer / Dual VCA is a powerful utility module for both audio and CV signals - and you know how much we appreciate useful utility modules! With its combination of flexible mixer and characterful VCA, this Serge module brings both precise control and sonic finesse to your Eurorack system.
On the left side of the module is the 2+2 mixer, consisting of two discrete, DC-coupled 2-channel mixers. These can be used independently of each other or combined into a 4-channel mixer via the sum output. Thanks to the DC coupling, the mixer is not only suitable for audio signals, but also for mixing and modulating CV.
The Dual VCA is based on the circuit of the legendary Serge Stereo Mixer and offers exceptional sound quality and the well-known unique exponential characteristic. This provides a dynamic and musical amplification that recreates the behavior of the early Serge VCAs. The module can generate tremendous gain and push signals into overdrive ranges. Note: The output amplitude can reach up to 16Vpp - perfect for transforming smooth waveforms like sine or triangle into edgy, distorted sounds.
