NO BPM - Mute Performer

The Mute Performer by NO BPM takes the humble mute function and transforms it from a simple utility into a performance tool for arranging your sets in real time.

It allows you to cue multiple mutes, park them with Lock, and then drop the entire change at once. You can fire it immediately or feed the Clock In for beat-tight, quantized switches, whatever the situation demands.

But the control goes deeper. Four dedicated Scene pads instantly recall entire rig states. You can trigger, reset, or modulate these scenes via dedicated inputs, including a Scene CV input (0–5 V, 1.25 V per scene) to animate your mutes. With banks and quick copy/paste functions, your entire set can live right on the front panel.

It isn't just about simple on/off. The Mute Performer handles Stereo Pairing for L/R control and features a Toggle mode that A/Bs two sources with a single tap— great for swapping kicks, basslines, or full voices without repatching. Thoughtful normalization across descending rows even lets sections behave like quick submixes.

In case you're running hybrid sets with other gear than your modular rack, the Mute Performer also speaks MIDI, allowing you to connect to almost any external hardware. Using the included 5-pin MIDI Type A to 3.5mm cable, you can control mutes both inside and outside your case. Map up to four CCs per channel, invert behavior for different devices, and use MIDI Resync to get back on track after power blips. A browser-based Web Editor takes care of all the deep configuration: CC mapping, presets, LED colors, and firmware updates.

In case you need more channels, there's also the Mute Expander which can extend your live mute system up to 72 channels.
