The Stereo Low Pass Gate of the New Universal Synthesizer System. QXG delivers 4 channels of vactrol-free vactrol-fun in the Make Noise style!
Together with the Polimaths, the QXG was introduced at Superbooth 25. It’s a stereo low pass gate with four channels, evoking the classic West Coast sound. However, QXG (just like DXG) doesn't use actual vactrols but instead, it employs finely tuned analog circuits to emulate the sound and behavior of vactrols. A button lets you switch between two modes: the classic low pass gate sound with a longer decay, or a short and snappy version for fast arpeggios.
Each of QXG’s channels has a mono input and can open the low pass gate via a CV input. Every channel also features an individual audio output, but can also be routed to the stereo mix. One highlight is the Stereo Spread parameter, which lets the signals dance around your head, either manually or via CV. The Aux Input allows for chaining multiple QXG units or other mixers.
QXG is a true Make Noise LPG, combining filter, VCA, panning, and mixer functions in one, and will shine in the NUSS system!
