Instruo - Lúbadh (V2 incl. USB expander)

Lúbadh is based on analog tape machines. The module offers two linkable channels for recording, playback and overdubs. True to the analog predecessors, the playback speed and pitch can be changed. Scrubbing is possible as well. Lúbadh works great as a looper. Thanks to compression, filtering and saturation,not only the behavior, but also the sound is reminiscent of a tape machine.

The Instruo Lúbadh is a digital emulation of a tape machine with two channels, designed for sample manipulation.   

Each chanel can record six minutes of 24-bit audio at 96kHz quality and they can be linked for stereo recording and playback.

Both inputs feature an analog circuit which adds soft compression, filtering and saturation. The two channels are normalised to each other via a feedback path allowing you to manipulate and resample audio (overdub) to build up complex looping compositions.

The user can define the speed, length and start point of the samples, visualised thanks to LEDs around the virtual tape heads at the top of the module. It can play forward or backward, at any speed, up to four times the original speed.

The tape heads also feature a capacitive touch plate which can be used to stall the playhead or add warble effects.

An optional delay mode allows you to shift the timing of these two channels within the feedback path to create tape delay type effects, with delay times up to 3 seconds.

The Lúbadh also includes an auxiliary input and output which are controlled using crossfaders.

The supplied 2HP expander adds CV control over all parameters.
