Infinite Digits x Maneco Labs’ EZEPTOCORE — Amen Evolved: Algorithmic Breakbeat Slicer, Eurorack Edition
EZEPTOCORE is a breakbeat sampler and algorithmic slice mangler, born out of the beloved handheld zeptocore by Infinite Digits and built into Eurorack hardware together with Maneco Labs. Samples stream directly from an SD card — 16 banks of 16 slots, no length limit — and get chopped, reversed, pitch-shifted, and generally roughed up in real time. Five knobs (Amen, Break, Jump, Tunnel, Effects) control everything from slice sequencing to effect probability. The Amen knob runs a Turing machine–style sequencer through your breaks, shifting from predictable playback to full randomization. That alone opens up a tons of rhythmic variation.
On the CV side, the module accepts voltages for slice selection, effect probability, sample navigation, and clock sync. There's also a trigger output that analyzes your samples and fires pulses on detected kicks, snares, or transients — which is great for driving the rest of your system from the rhythmic content of the break itself. Effects are configured via a web tool at ezeptocore.com and cover the usual destruction toolkit: bitcrush, tape stop, beat repeat, comb filtering, fuzz, time-stretch, and more. Amazing tool for anyone who wants breakbeats with a touch of algorithmic chaos built in!
