Doepfer A-130-4 Quad VCA
- Order number: 230538
- Depth: 45
Whether polyphonic or monophonic - VCAs are indispensable in Eurorack systems! The Doepfer A-130-4 is a quad VCA for polyphonic applications.
The A-130-4 is an insanely simple module, but one that can quickly become very useful, especially in polyphonic systems. There are four inputs and four outputs. Here you can use audio, but also control voltages. The amplitude of all four channels is controlled by a common knob. This is of course voltage controllable with CV input and attenuator. Additionally, the VCA behavior is linear and the gain is maximum 1.
The Quad VCA is clearly excellent for processing quadraphonic audio signals simultaneously, but equally good for regulating four modulations. Why not try a quad FM patch?
Features:
- Linear VCA
- 4 inputs and outputs
- 1 potentiometer and CV input to control all 4 VCAs

A-130-4 @Doepfer
WIth a long trajectory building synths, MIDI keyboards and designing bespoke devices for music pioneers Kraftwerk, Dieter Doepfer decided to design his own modular synthesizer in 1995 based on existing electrical and mechanical specifications of lab equipment he used during his years at university. The official presentation of the system at 1996 Frankfurt Musikmesse caught everyone by surprise and created lots of interest. After Doepfer published the specifications on his website, many instrument designers and engineers saw the potential of the new Eurorack format. Doepfer continues expanding their catalog of over 200 modules (and counting), operating from their modest offices in the outskirts of Munich.
