Doepfer A-101-8 Photo Phasing
- Order number: 230279
- Depth: 45
This is not just a nice idea to fill gaps in your system but also a fully featured Phaser – inspired by the Schulte Compact Phasing A (aka „The Krautrockphaser“).
This module delivers beautiful phasing sound in a small space. The A-101-8 is a recreation of the famous phaser from the 70s. It delivers almost the same sound with the flexibility of Eurorack modules. There is a phase offset, as well as a CV input with an attenuator. So (unlike with the original) here it is possible to control the phasing with any modulation source, as well as manually control the starting point via offset. The feedback control works similarly to a filter resonance and allows for feedback with only one potentiometer turn. Furthermore, there is a mix control and an attenuator for the input signal. Lastly, you will find two audio outputs, for various application possibilities (e.g. stereo).
Features:
- Re-creation of the 70's classic: Schulte Compact Phasing A
- Offset parameter
- CV input for phase shift
- Potentiometers for feedback and input gain
- Two audio outputs

A-101-8 @Doepfer
WIth a long trajectory building synths, MIDI keyboards and designing bespoke devices for music pioneers Kraftwerk, Dieter Doepfer decided to design his own modular synthesizer in 1995 based on existing electrical and mechanical specifications of lab equipment he used during his years at university. The official presentation of the system at 1996 Frankfurt Musikmesse caught everyone by surprise and created lots of interest. After Doepfer published the specifications on his website, many instrument designers and engineers saw the potential of the new Eurorack format. Doepfer continues expanding their catalog of over 200 modules (and counting), operating from their modest offices in the outskirts of Munich.
