Divkid - øchd
- Order number: 190671
The charming Youtube star DivKid has his second module in the starting blocks. This time in cooperation with Instruo, the still young but not less noble module forge from Glasgow. Øchd is an extraordinary LFO with eight free-swinging, triangle-based modulation outputs which are tuned to each other in musical intervals.
What makes the 4TE wide module especially interesting is the possibility to create interesting deformations of the individual bands via the CV input with inverting attenuator by feedback of a single band (each band will react very differently: some look like rounded steps, others like rectified waveforms, others more like classic waveshaped). In no time at all, you have full-fledged food for modulation-hungry modules on hand. On the other hand, øchd can function like an eightfold T&H (track and hold) by feeding its gate signal to the CV input and turning the inverting attenuator to the left. As soon as a gate signal is applied or switched up, all eight waveforms are stopped as long as the gate is held. This trick is helpful to bring the module's sync input, if not present, in line with the other events of the composition. There is of course a global rate parameter to set the frequency of the eight LFOs simultaneously.
