Xcelon Xi3 — 3-channel mix expander for Boredbrain's Xcelon Mixer
Need even more channels for your Xcelon mixer? Fret not, the solution is right here — the Xi3 expander from Boredbrain adds three additional stereo (or six mono) channels to their mixer system. Each channel gets volume control with CV, dual FX sends, LED indicators, and mix bus routing. It easily connects to your Xcelon mixer via a ribbon cable in the back, where you will also find configurable jumpers to switch your channels between stereo or dual-mono mode.
Like its bigger siblings, the Xi3 includes pre- and post-fader direct outputs for multitrack recording or other routing shenanigans. It's great for handling FX returns, submixes, or any sources that need to stay in the mix but don't require constant tweaking.
Features:
- Expander for the Xcelon Mixer (uses one of two expansion ports)
- Three stereo channels with volume CV and LED indicators
- Dual FX sends (post-fader) per channel
- A/B mix bus routing switches
- Configurable stereo/dual-mono operation via rear jumpers
- Pre- and post-fader direct outputs for multitrack recording
- Compatible with IO, TRS, DB25, and Cue output modules
Note: Unlike the main Xcelon mixer channels, FX1 and FX2 sends are manual only and do not have their own CV inputs.
