Mimix has two Multiple units, of which the fourth output is a variation of the input signal. In Multiple A, the fourth output gives an inversion of the output signal, and in Multiple B, it gives a rectified wave. This means that the input wave is output in exactly the same way, except that the negative parts of the signal are inverted and thus promoted to the positive range - thus an always positive version of your input signal.
The summing unit located in the lower section mixes four signals, making exciting modulations an easy task. Inputs A and B are normalized to C and D, respectively.
All three sections have an LED that indicates the intensity and polarity of the multiple input signals and the summing output.
