Alright Devices - T-Wrex
- Order number: 230060
- Depth: 30
The search is over! Finally, a module that makes audio sound as if a T-Rex had chewed it up and then stepped on it: The T-Wrex from Alright Devices.
T-Wrex is a combination of Bitcrusher and Decimator. The effects can be used separately and have individual inputs and outputs. However, it's really fun when you connect the effects in series.
Both effects are based on a sample & hold circuit and can be used as such.
The left section stomp is the bitcrusher. It instantly makes your sounds sound very grainy and can be fine-tuned with the associated pot and CV input. Stomp but also Chomp the Decimator have their own Dry/Wet Mix Poti, also with CV control! Chomp's circuitry includes a VCO and adds a lo-fi sound and harmonics to your sounds. With the attenuator fully turned up (CW), it even accepts v/oct! Anything you send into the sample input replaces this internal VCO and you can guess what that means: endless possibilities!
T-Wrex is hungry and wants to be fed in each of its inputs. Modulate the parameters with envelopes and create exciting rhythms, or use slow LFOs for ear-piercing drones.
Features:
- Analog bitcrusher and decimator
- Based on two S&H circuits
- Individual dry/wet mix
- Attenuators for each parameter
- Individual inputs and outputs
