ALM’s Pip LFO Is Small Footprint, All-Analog LFO With a Massive Range That Doubles as a VCO.
Sometimes you just need a straightforward, reliable LFO that doesn't take up half your rack. ALM's Pip LFO is just that, packing a surprising amount of functionality into this tiny module. It’s a fully analog design that provides all the essential waveforms, with both bipolar and unipolar outputs. It covers a vast frequency range, from crawlingly slow modulations to well into the audible spectrum.
The Pip LFO also has a dual personality. With the flick of a switch, it transforms from a simple LFO into a capable VCO. This VCO mode tracks V/Oct for about five octaves, making it a handy extra voice or audio-rate modulation source. The reset input adds another layer of utility, allowing for waveform cycle resets or hard-sync effects when in VCO mode. It’s a dense and practical design that delivers core modulation and sound generation without any fuss.
Features:
- Manual and CV control over LFO frequency
- Frequency range from approx 0.01 Hz to 20Khz+
- Simultaneous Square, Triangle, Saw and Sine waveform outputs
- Uni and Bipolar outputs
- Audible frequency 'VCO' mode with V/Octave tracking (approx 5 octaves)
- LED frequency indication
- External reset/sync input
- Skiff friendly with reverse power protection
