After Later Audio - Waves (Ripples)
- Order number: 220669
The Waves by After Later Audio is an analog multimode filter modeled after the excellent Ripples by Mutable Instruments.
Voltage-controlled filter with a 4-, and 2-pole low- and bandpass and a highpass with a variable slope all available at three outputs. The lowpass output can be combined with the integrated VCA (GAIN input and LP4/VCA output), which simplifies the creation of a very compact subtractive synthesizer voice.
Self-oscillation is possible in all modes and the LP4 output produces a clean sine wave. Unlike many 4Pole filters, the filter does not get quieter as resonance increases; this volume compensation adds a slight tonal coloration with the character of Roland SH/Jupiter filters.
There are two CV inputs for the cutoff frequency, one fixed at 1V/octave and one (FM input) with a polarizer. The resonance is also voltage controllable. Furthermore, another audio input can be used either as a distorting input or as a line-level input, as well as a highpass output and a switch for the slope of the lowpass filter.
Features:
- High-pass, band-pass and low-pass outputs.
- Switchable slope for the bandpass and lowpass outputs
- The slope of the high pass output varies with resonance
- The lowpass output goes through an internal VCA - the perfect output for the end of the subtractive chain!

After Later Audio are Lenny and Clarissa from Seattle. They build clones of popular Eurorack modules but also have a much more extensive repertoire of self-designed modules for Eurorack systems.
